Colette has a degree from Iowa State University in health and wellness and has been a certified afaa group fitness instructor since 2003, as well as holding a yoga fit training certification. Outside of fitness, Colette spends her free time with her husband and four children.

Ashley’s took dance lessons through middle school and high school. Ashley attended her first Barre class at Uplift in September of 2015 and was immediately in love! Barre brought dance back into Ashley’s life! She was encouraged to become a certified Barre instructor. She completed her certification in January 2016. Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, exercising, and spending time with her fiancé, Tyller and their dog, Daisy.                                                                                                                                                                                            

Nicole's love for dance started early. She started dancing at the age of 3 and continued through high school and college. She has been teaching dance for 10 years. Nicole has been a Zumba instructor for 7 years, is certified in Barre Fitness and is a show choir assistant at Valley High School. Nicole has her bachelors degree in elementary education and loves spending her free time with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Savannah and Jacob.

Vone studied advertising and journalism at Iowa State University.

She completed her Power Yoga training in April 2015. Vone has been teaching Yoga at Uplift Fitness studio since October 2015.

Katie has been a life long fitness enthusiast and athlete! She participated in many different sports growing up and as an adult is still active in volleyball, hula hooping, yoga, and dance. Katie is currently AFAA Group Fitness certified and holds certifications in PiYo, Zumba, Hoop Dance and Group Power, as well as a ACE certified Personal Trainer. Katie maintains that the most important thing a person can do is practice self-care. 

Patty McCammon was born and raised in Mexico and moved to DSM 13 years ago. She has 3 wonderful children that keep her life busy. She knows that as a busy mom it’s important to take time for yourself. After many months of being a Zumba student Patty was encouraged to teach. She got her license to teach Zumba in September 2012. It has been a challenging and rewarding experience. Seeing all the smiling faces across the room makes it easy.

Katie  began dancing in a studio around the same time she started walking. Throughout her young adult life she was passionate about being healthy and active. Teaching Zumba led to the dreams of opening a new studio, which eventually became Uplift! She is certified in Zumba Toning, Zumba Sentao, and Barre, Barre 2, and is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. In her free time Katie likes to cook, craft and spend time with her husband and three daughters.

Mikaela is certified in Zumba, Barre Fitness and Yoga Booty Ballet since 2011. Mikaela has lived in various cities across the country and has been teaching fitness classes at high profile studios from Des Moines to Chicago to Boston. She is known for her invigorating and challenging classes!
Mikaela graduated with Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University in 2010. She recently moved back to Iowa with her husband Alex to be closer to friends and family.

Uplift Fitness offers a variety of group fitness classes for every level and style. We offer up to 25 classes per week, with classes being held 7 days a week!

Our schedule consists of: Barre, Cardio Barre, Barre Bootcamp, Zumba, Zumba Toning, Cardio Fit, Yoga, PiYo, POUND, and Insanity.
